Weekly Photo Challenge – Culture
Central Florida Highland Games with the Family (minus our Marine who is away)
Most of the year it’s shorts and flip-flops for us but every January we honor our Highland roots at the Central Florida Highland Games. http://www.flascot.com/
My husband’s clan, Clan MacLennan, is a small one, but what we lack in numbers we make up for in spirit.

We listen to the pipe bands, watch the Highland dancers, pet the Highland cattle, brush up on our archery skills, partake of Scottish fare, admire the border collies, cheer on caber tossers and have a rollicking good time.
Hope to see you there next year!

Thanks – my life can be chaotic, especially if I’m doing a show or a film shoot + the day job + family – reminds me to step off the merry-go-round for a bit đ

I think I can hear the pipes from here. đ Looks like lots of fun.

Janet – it truly is. Making it to the Scottish Highland Games is on our “to do” list.

I love the Highland Games, here in Canada, we celebrate in the summer.

I think most places do. Here in Florida we’d probably spontaneously combust if we tried it in the heat we have here during the summer.
