Wild Weekly Photo Challenge – Hiking
Hiking in Florida presents its own unique challenges – sinkholes, quicksand, snakes, and the occasional alligator – even in Winter Park.
Years ago, before we moved here, we were at a business gathering at my husband’s (then) boss’s house. The children were tubing on their lake and I expressed concern about all those little bodies bobbing around in a potentially alligator-infested lake. Our hostess said “Oh, don’t worry. Alligators aren’t allowed in Winter Park.”
I was not as confident as she was in the alligator’s ability to read signs.
