Weekly Photo Challenge: The Sign Says – Welcome
This was the last sign we saw when we left Yokota Air Base, Japan (and military life) when our children were small.
It was the first sign our son saw when he arrived years later as a U.S. Marine.

“This was the last sign we saw when we left Yokota Air Base, Japan (and military life) when our children were small.

When our son sent us that picture it all came rushing back. Brought tears to my eyes. The happiness of going back to the states along with the sadness of leaving a country and people we had grown to love.
