Butterfly in My Garden!
My garden attracts many butterflies, but this one was special.
It’s one of the largest ones I’ve seen – a beautiful swallowtail and very accommodating. Most of my butterfly guests are on the shy side. This one let me get closer than most.
I’ve been trying (for the most part without success) to snap some of the lovely guests who include our plumbago bush in their normal daily rounds. I learned during one of my trips to Gemini Springs that the bigger butterflies are easier to take pictures of so when I saw this one I ran inside, grabbed my camera, and prayed.
