Fab Friday
Our family gathered for breakfast early Friday morning at one of our favorite spots – Linda’s Winter Park Diner . We’ve been coming here for years. No matter how long it’s been since we popped by, we are always remembered as are our personal favorites. It’s a little spot of normal, which is rare these days. If you’re ever in Winter Park, Florida and want some down home cooking, stop on by – but come early. They’re only open half a day.
It was great catching up with our two adult kids, remembering when, and just taking time to be together. After breakfast Daughter and I set forth to do some shopping.

We spent some more catch up time at Barnie’s on Park Avenue. Since it’s August in Florida we opted for cold coffee options.
After coffee, we strolled down Park Avenue, explored new shops and visited old favorites then visited other favorites elsewhere. We didn’t have an agenda other than to enjoy the day and each other. We weren’t looking for anything in particular but ended up finding treasures anyway, mostly on sale.
We always seem to have better luck when we shop together.
If you haven’t had a chill day in a while, take one. It’s good for the soul.
